Trying to anticipate the coming weird schedule changes, I attempted to stay up late in order to sleep late so I'd have an easier time being at work until 1AM and driving home afterward. That didn't work. When Eor gets up at 5:30AM I wake up, and that's when my body is used to getting it's tea and starting the day. So what I got was about six hours sleep, then two hours laying in bed trying to get back to sleep, and then the hammering and sawing started upstairs, at 7:40AM. What.e.ver. I'll be drinking a lot of tea, later.
Chapter 11 of "Swept Away!" is rough-typed, Chapter 12 is begun, and I have reams of paper left to type up. I'm debating posting pre-beta versions, so that Eor can take his time, later, and I can sail on for the moment, since I seem to want to treat this like a NaNo right now. They'll be full of holes and errors and suck, but what do you think?
ETA: OR, here's a thought, I can post them to this fiction-writing group I just joined, in the pre-beta version, and let them take their cracks at it, too.

Chapter 12 got much longer than most of the more recent ones have been, and I still haven't finished typing up all the notes I've written over the past couple of months. Cripes, if I can keep on with this I might actually be able to get this book done, one of these days before I die. (Although secretly I have always held out a hope that if I died someone who's better at writing might take over and finish it for me.)
