Exhausted, but had a good day. I went up to look at the pumpkins with littleredhead and groundctrl, as I had mentioned was our plan, but Eor stayed home because he was too sick. (When I got home he was asleep, but had done almost all the dishes, and put away all the laundry he did yesterday - poor dear never seems to really take a day off.) So, since their car was full of building materials or something (they're building their house) I got to show off my mad sick lack of driving skills. Nobody was hurt. ;) (I don't know if I've ever run into anything, aside from the retaining wall when I was learning to drive, but I do scare people on a regular basis. And I was extra spacey today. Glad I didn't take any cold medicine.) Anyway, we did a lot of park and walk in, because the crowd around the pumpkin canon and trebuchet* was crazy, as was the crowd downtown. Supposedly there were 2,000 extra people in downtown Damariscotta today.
I thought there were not quite as many crazily impressive pumpkins this year as there have been in years past, though certainly there were many good ones. However, the one done by groundctrl's brother-in-law was pretty great (I hope he posts pics soon!) and the pumpkin canon ripped up a small pickup truck rather impressively. :)

*My dictionary does not know the word trebuchet and tried to offer me Bucharest instead. Seriously? That's the closest thing? I'm teaching my dictionary, now. Also teaching it Damariscotta.
