back, not eaten by bears.

We have hauled our bug-chewed, mildewed, stiff old carcasses back from Katahdin. We made it up Helon Taylor trail to Pamola Peak! :) :) (I like the fact that this write-up does not mention the oft-quoted mythical 5.5 hours round-trip time for the hike, because it took us at least 5.5 hours just for the up.

Hawk commented that we couldn't be camping, as no rain was predicted, but the mountain makes it's own weather and we go a good thunderstorm, yesterday. We were cozy under our tarp. :)

cleaning, cleaning, cleaning...

We're getting a little nutty, I think, trying to make the place ready to show. We just took all the fixtures off the front door to clean them up, chipping decades worth of black paint off to show the details a little better.
