Friday I got the good news that the class I was dreading teaching, tomorrow, is not going to happen. The Training organization decided to take it back and re-tool it. I guess it wasn't working out well the way it was, which doesn't surprise me at all. I was dreading it because it's so vague, no sure guidance at all.
Moose gave me that news at the party on Friday.
Pretty blah party, all in all. Remember I said I would probably have fun once I was there? Work parties don't have the energy they used to. There was no dancing, people just came and ate and chatted with people at their table. I sat with friends of a coworker, who were fun people (middle aged ladies, and firecrackers), but I'll probably never see them again. And then I went andtalked listened to ElvenGirl for a while. (Yeah, she might look at this, I suppose, but she knows she can talk a blue streak. ;) She also knows that since I don't really make conversation, myself, I don't mind listening to someone who does. It's kind of relaxing for me. :))

Saturday we had breakfast, I did grocery shopping, Eor did the winter hunkering-down stuff (took down the garden trellises and such), and then we went clothes shopping for him. By the time we got home it was time to cook dinner, and by the time we were done with making chicken parm, soup and more ginger beer it was like 11PM and we went to bed. I just felt like we moved all day.
The first batch of ginger beer was a little more like slightly gingery lemon-aide, so this batch got less lemon and he tried some other tastes. Into one bottle went a couple of cloves, in another some cream of tarter, the third got a little vanilla, the fourth some agave nectar, and then there are two plains. I'm excited to see how these all come out. :)
