I actually had two people at work refer to me as a hobbit, recently. Eor thinks it's because my hair's getting to that LOTR length.
In other news:
-We have a showing Wednesday, so started in cleaning this evening.
-Eor's been practicing his Tom Waits-style version of "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic."
-We saw "Wyrd Sisters" on Friday night. Which I think is why he got started on "Every Little Thing..." - they used every possible song with the word 'Magic' in it as scene change music for that show. And there are a lot of scene changes. We heard snippets of "Magic Bus," "Black Magic Woman," "Magic Man," "Magic Carpet Ride," I can't remember them all, and during intermission they played "Waking the Witch" (Kate Bush).
I should probably have written a review, but I'm less a reviewer and more a critic. I thought the woman who played the evil duchess was actually quite good, and owned the stage when she was on it. (Eor commented she did the best stage fall he's ever seen, which sounds like faint praise, but it's not easy to do a good being-knocked-out fall.) And I thought nobody was terrible, and they got more into their characters as the show went on. I think the action and the scene changes could have been tightened up by the director. The guy who played Verance-the-Fool was also good, with some complicated lines.
