Today, Derien travelled 1.63 miles on the journey from Bag End to Rivendell.

Followed the lane lower into a fold of hills with hazel on the slopes on each side.
Turned off the path on a green ride through the thickets.

A total of 45.2 miles along the way.

Got on the treadmill a little earlier tonight because Eor had kindly already done the dishes by the time I got home, and then he suggested we order pizza. A nice break. :) I also moved the photography lamp into the middle room, because my doctor keeps suggesting that I get a half hour of really bright light every day. The extra light makes reading easier, too. But also makes it warm, so the sweat was really pouring off me before I stopped. ;) I actually used the little built-in fans.

I've been reading "Eragon" (Christopher Paolini). I think Cyberquail saw that I was reading "Temeraire" and gave me the second book of the Paolini series ("Eldest," is it?) and then took me to a second-hand bookstore where I bought "Eragon," or something like that. Whatever happened, I think I'll blame Cyberquail.;) I'm enjoying it, and am impressed that this kid was, what, sixteen when he wrote it? But it does make me feel a bit... ashamed of myself that I can't get my shit plot together.

Speaking of Cyberquail, around about July she posted a picture of Eor and me from December of 1992, the first time she and I met, and I had intended to repost it but apparently did not do so.
