I just retroposted my past couple of days mileage, and was surprised at how exciting the descriptions I got were. (The descriptions were which I got? I don't know.) Camped at Woody End, on a green floor in the wood roofed by the boughs of trees. Scrambled down hill into the thick trees below. and Reached a deep-banked stream cutting across the path. Saw a Black Rider on the hillcrest and ducked into the bushes beside the stream. One of them was a wee small mileage day. I wonder if I ever would have seen that description if I had subsumed that mileage into that which belongs to today and reported the total?

Anyhow...

Today, Derien travelled 1.6 miles on the journey from Bag End to Rivendell.

Followed the stream down, struggling through the brush.
Came into more open country. Pippin realized the brook was Stock-brook. Crossed the brook and headed across a rush-grown space on the far side.

A total of 48.97 miles along the way.

I was just wondering what that equaled in calories and miles total covered during this month so far, feeling as though I should be starting to see some change in how my clothes fit, but then after adding it up and comparing, I realized that the amount of exercise I've done over the past month on the treadmill is about equal to what someone who really works out does in 3 or 4 days. And I've stretched it out over the month. I guess there's no wonder that I haven't changed size at all - I'm not really working for it. I'm glad I'm doing something, because obviously I'd be going the opposite direction if I weren't. :P

I also finished reading "Eregon" (Paolini) just before I jumped on the treadmill, and began "Eldest" as I walked, so that makes book #9 down. I'm not entirely sure I want to hurtle straight on into the next book in this series, it might be bad for my brain, but I seem to be doing it.
