Today I did some walking, some stretching, some weight lifting, some laundry, some dishes, a little reading in "Brinsngr" and a little in "HMS Surprise" ... a LOT of trying to figure out how the ship's bells system works (/me is a dork who should have checked Wiki to begin with) and about zero real writing. What is with those duty watches? Intended to keep people sleep deprived and easily pliable?
Also wanted to note, Moose came up with a phrase yesterday that might be used as an Aubreyism if I ever write an Aubrey/Maturin fic: "He doesn't have a pony in the fight." It conjures images of Shetlands biting at each other, doesn't it? :)
Tonight I'm going on an adventure: the First Friday Art Walk in Portland. :)
