Looks to Alaska commented that my luck with rain on my day off seems to be holding true. But it let me sleep in, which was good. :) In fact I was unable to get myself up until 8:30AM. And now it's 11 and I've still done nothing besides read the internets and have a cup of cocoa. Well, my new phone did start working, and I started adding my contacts from the old phone. :)

ETA PS - The other thing I did so far today was watch LOTS of Horrible History vids. "Dick Turpin" was my fav until I saw "Boudicca". ;) And I found that somebody has posted "Proper Cup of Coffee" by Trout Fishing In America! I listen to this song on my tiny old mp3 player almost every day. :)
The other day my ceramic travel mug lept to its death on a stone tile floor. I was changing in the ladies room and the person in the stall next to me allowed their door to bang, knocking my cup off of the handicap rail. Hey, don't judge - I had been using that handicap rail to set it on for months and it worked fine, and there was really no other place to set it besides the floor. Okay, maybe I should have done that.

Today I pouring Russian tea out of a vintage blue glass Ball jar when the glass lid of said jar slipped from my hand and fell at best ten inches, but it must have hit the edge of the counter just right, and broke in two pieces. I was debating about trying to glue it, but I don't think it's a clean enough break. I could buy four of the same lid for $9 on eBay, but I don't need four of them.

The only connection I can find between these accidents is tea - tea which had not yet been ingested. Hm.

Also, the new Thai restaurant on Main street was completely deserted when I went up to grab some chicken fried rice. The only people at the bar were the children of the woman running the place. I'm not good at ages, but the little girl was young enough to still want to say hi to every person who walked in, and the boy wasn't much older. :) (Well of course Mom says hi to everyone, why shouldn't she?)

She gave us not only the chicken fried rice I asked for, but fortune cookies, two small soups and crab rangoons. Eor and I ate in the car, in the parking lot as his work place, watching the rain. :)
