Well, we worked until we were exhausted, hungry and filthy, this evening, digging through layers of old, rotted wood and moving it up to the burn pile or into another pile we're going to try to get to compost. Near the end of the day Eor said, "I can almost see my vision, now. I think when we get this rotted wood moved we'll be able to lay down some stones and this will be drainage for the lawn." And then I realized that there's stones there, under all the rotted wood. There WAS a water course there, years ago, and people tossed brush onto it for years and buried it. Why, why, why, why?? gah.
And then we came in and made fried eggs and potatoes for dinner.
