I'm covered with sawdust. I feel like going to a woodsman's contest. Just watching for me, though. After watching Eor splitting wood that seems like a more interesting sport than most games. I also think I've gained an appreciation of why the caber toss might have developed, when I dragged a small log (maybe three feet or a meter long?) down from the woods and found that the last bit, getting it through the gate and around the obstacles to the uncut wood pile, would have been a lot easier if I could have just picked it up and flung it. I did put the antique log lifting tongs to good use on that log, down through the woods. Our skid trail is becoming quite obvious. I felt almost mythic, yesterday, creating that trail - striding through the woods yanking up small brush and tossing it aside.
