Jake Blues would be happy

I probably didn't say much about our 25th anniversary party that we had in July. We got together in October, but that's not a good time to have a party. Eor's family didn't show, but much of mine did, from both my father's and my mother's sides of my family. And they brought us all kinds of sweet gifts - cuttings from herbs they grew, strawberry rhubarb preserves, chocolates from Peru, framed cards that my Mom bought when she was 12. And one cousin brought us a whole frozen chicken, one he raised himself. We cooked that lovely little chicken this evening, and it's pretty darned tasty. :)
