(no subject)

I'm beginning to fear we may have planted our garlic too early. You're supposed to plant just before the ground freezes, but if it doesn't freeze soon I'm afraid the bulbs will begin to grow. And it's been raining a lot, so if they don't grow they could rot in the ground.

We had lots of garlic left over that we didn't plant, but don't want to fill another space. Anyone want some garlic to plant? It's never too late if your ground hasn't frozen. Well, if you live someplace where the ground doesn't freeze you should wait until spring, I think. This is garlic we saved over from what did well last year, so it's adapted to a cold climate.
