I was musing about Electric Company, Googled for that and Morgan Freeman, (yes, he was Easy Reader, apparently a role he's sick of hearing about, now, but I think it's damned cool, myself) and found this. Yeah for the time-sucking black hole that is the Web.;)

I started thinking about Electric Company because I got very worried and frustrated this morning and began reverting to my childhood. I found myself muttering "how about a loud shout?" (that's what I do instead of actually shouting.) I can't prove that EC is where that phrase comes from, but it doesn't sound like Sesame Street style so I think that's where I go it.

However, some of my worry has just been alleviated this moment. My Mom's friend called and assured me that Mom is not wandering the streets of Waterville - her friend found her a motel and let her use a credit card to rent a car. Before she called all I'd heard since Monday was bits and pieces through the grapevine: Mom had left a note saying the cleaning out was too big a job and she needed help; she'd said she needed a place to stay but then not gone into details; she couldn't rent a car because she had no credit card, etc, and I was beating myself up for not taking her up north myself, renting a car for her and finding her a motel room myself. But I tried to do that for her and she refused to let me.
