My face is still all numb and I definetly don't want to go to work like this. bleh. He put the novacain to me big time because of course he had to take out the old filling (which actually comprised most of the tooth). I didn't feel a thing. Well, yeah I did, vibrations and such, and I'm a complete wuss about that kind of thing, but I distracted myself by thinking about the latest installment of
daegaer's story over at
mars_manliness. ;)
Then I went and got my hair cut, and got a chocolate shake, to try to distract myself from the face being all numb. And I lucked out - they were training a new guy at the place I got the shake, so I got a smoothie for free.:) Drinking my food is not entirely a bad thing. So that was a deal, but the haircut wasn't - I really have to find a place I can get a plain blunt cut for less than $26.
I also hung and talked for a few minutes with a guy who used to work with us at the airport, and is now working at the Hickory Farms stall. Found that my sarcasm doesn't go over too well when my face is all stiff. Of course my words are rather slurred, so he may have been having a hard time understanding me. (People I didn't know were looking at me as if they were trying to figure out if I'd had a stroke.) When he said "stop by again," I said I didn't think I'd be back at the Mall again until Christmas gets over with, unless I have another weekday. But he says stop by after Christmas, anyhow, and he'll hook me up with some of that good Hickory Farms food. ;9 Damn I love that stuff.
I guess I'll go do some dishes, and maybe heat up some soup, then consider whether I can write.
