I often think it feels like I didn't have a weekend, but this weekend I actually worked about 6 hours each day. Although, working checked baggage for 6 hours is almost the same as having a day off, it's much easier than dealing with passengers. Bags don't talk back. But I did miss seeing
lemondropgirl who flew out Sunday.:P

Someone left a box of recycling out on the curb in front of our apartment last Wednesday after the recycling had already been picked up (or even if they left it before the truck came by, perhaps the truck didn't pick it up because it wasn't in one of the special recycling bins). By yesterday the box had been rolled over by the wind, the papers were blowing around and when I stepped outside to get in my car the box itself had rolled into the street where it was a traffic hazard. I brought it back and crushed it down, hoping it wouldn't blow around again, but when I got back from work it was in the road again. So I collected it and all the papers up into bags and moved them up onto the porch. I don't like cleaning up after people. I'm wondering if it would be rude to move them to an obvious place with a note asking that whoever owns them please dispose of them properly this week. Some of the stuff wasn't actually allowable recycling - pizza boxes and styrofoam peanuts. Okay, so I'm a nut - I like things to be done properly. And I don't like the street in front of my house to look like a trash heap. At least I know I'm a nut.

Now my tea is all gone, my breakfast is all gone, my timesheet is printed out - I guess I have no more excuses, I've got to go to work.
