It's been a fine, quiet, Christmas here. Eor woke me at dawn by pouncing me, in the tradition of Christmas mornings, got me to open my stocking (he had filled my stocking! I did not do so well. So he had an apple and peppermint stick that he'd put in there himself, and I got those plus maple syrup and pickled jalapenos) and then we had (a very few) pressies - none of which were wrapped, which was kind of convenient because there's no wrapping paper to clean up. :) I got material to make slippers, from his mom, and muffin tins (one heavy aluminum and the other cast iron!) and a slotted spoon from him, which were things I've been lusting after for ages. Now I can make two dozen at a time without using those little disposable aluminum foil cups. :) (Was thinking I might use those to make corn muffins for my coworkers this morning, but now I've spent too much time on LJ so not happening today. I will try to organize people to order Chinese food instead. :)) And then we had french toast with real maple syrup and tea, and I read my LJ, because where better to spend the day than with one's friends. ;)

Glad you got good stuffs! But... um... maple syrup and pickled jalapenos ARE two separate things, yeah? Not "Maple syrup pickled jalapenos" right? I think that concept hurts my head.

My coworker did the same thing - "Pickled jalapenos and maple syrup? That sounds awful. Although, you never know, sometimes the weirdest combinations work.... *think think* I don't think I want to try it, though." Yes, they're in separate jars! :)
