Here at my new apartment, looking out the window to the left of my computer, I have a view of six chimneys, a skylight, three gable windows, a steeple, and a cupola with a weathervane. This is pretty nice, in my opinion. I don't get to watch the pretty girls walk by, like in the old place, but I also don't have to listen to the thundering herd of cars going up the hill.
This weekend has been killer. I took Friday off to get stuff done, and it's been go go go. Packing and getting rid of the last few things at the old place, cleaning, making a run to New Hampster for stuff for the new place (I know it seems counter-intuitive to get rid of stuff and have to get more stuff, but the stuff we were getting rid of took up space - old computer parts and equipment, a breadmaker, a bed, etc - whereas the new stuff we got mostly makes space. We got no less than three (3) rolling counters with shelfspace underneath. Also curtains, so![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
eor can sleep better during the day, and a new comforter which actually fits the bed (concept - not trying to huddle under a single-bed size comforter in the middle of a king-sized bed).
I was hoping I'd be resting and reading a few fanfics right now, but I took too long doing other things so I still have to do laundry. I figured I could make this entry in the time I needed to wait before turning the roast down to the temp it has to cook at for the next few hours, and it's time to turn it down, now, so time for me to go to the dungeon (laundry room).
