Salisbury Beach, MA has a campground next to it - an endless, open wasteland of gigantic homes-away-from home interspersed with a smattering of odd pine trees (odd to me because they seem to be trying to imitate, in shape, deciduous trees). The two we spent our time between were the smallest things there - [livejournal.com profile] eor's VW Vanagon and an enclosed storage/moving trailer that looks as though they kitted it out themselves to carry their camping things. It's like living outdoors. We just hung out around the picknick table and chatted, read, or ate, or took a walk down to the beach and sat there. I drew a little, and later tried to make sand sculptures - an alligator and a foot, which Baxter promptly destroyed. Baxter is [livejournal.com profile] eor's Mom's West Highland Terrior, and he was having a wonderful time digging in the sand, running back and forth and licking people's faces.:) I started to try to write out how the humans who were there were related or not, but suffice it to say there were 3 generations - some were relatives of [livejournal.com profile] eor's and some (I found out later) were friends of relatives, totalling about 9 other people besides us, and no small children.

Very laid back day. I could see doing this for a few days. I am SO looking forward to my actual vacation. Then I might be able to do some chilling out AND also read LJ and such.

Now must run off to do all the things I didn't do yesterday because I was chilling out. Life just doesn't stop while you do.
