During my vacation I made it a point to wash my face very carefully, several times a day, with Aveeno facial bar soap, but I still had zits - more than usual, even, I thought. Since then I've been washing my face morning and night with Softsoap, a liquid hand soap with lotion in it. My skin has been clear. I don't think I even had a single zit since I gave up using the Aveeno, and that's through even having my period, when I normally break out like mad.
So. My conclusions - two possibilities.
1)Aveeno has something in it that my skin doesn't like.
2)Softsoap is good stuff. It's antibacterial, which I usually shy away from, but maybe it's killing the bacteria that cause zits?
