First of all -
I desperately hope that some day I might be able to watch the animated version of The Tick once again, and believe me this is one series I would definetly buy. So please, sign this petition and help me out! :) (They've already got almost 9,000 signatures, this has GOT to be a money-making proposition for Fox.)

In the continuing saga of my birthday week/month/whatever -
I now have gotten individual birthday cards from two of my co-workers (one of them accompanied by a scented candle), one from everybody at work, one from [livejournal.com profile] dervlaincognito, and one from my Dad with $80 cash in it. (I don't know why he won't buy postal money orders or something.) So, I guess the change of address went through soon enough, although I haven't received the box as yet. I should send him a note, though, to let him know the card got here.

Friday night we went out with [livejournal.com profile] lemondropgirl, and were joined by her boyfriend and some of her/their friends. Had a really great time.:) I like the lot of them, though I don't know them well, and I appreciated that when we moved from one bar to another she told them to drive while we walked, so we got a little more individual time with her. I tend to not interact as much when I'm in larger groups.

There was much amusing action and dialogue that evening (I accidently grabbed her boyfriend's chest when he went to give me a birthday kiss... er.), but the one thing I think you all might appreciate: I had said that one of the things I contemplated asking for for my birthday was a palm pilot that I could download stories on, to take to work with me. Of course she knew I meant for reading in the breakroom, and NOT something with some sort of satelite link-up, but [livejournal.com profile] lemondropgirl couldn't resist teasing me; "I can see you at the checkpoint: 'sure, whatever, take the bomb on through -ooh, look, [livejournal.com profile] daegaer wrote new fic!'" That killed [livejournal.com profile] eor, he said she did a perfect impression of me.;)

Hm, must go cook us some dinner. More later, hopefully.

Dude, if the CIA turn up at my door I'll know who to thank :-)

"Links to Middle Eastern groups? Er, well I wrote this story about gay Victorian soldiers finding a lost Macedonian colony in Afghanistan . . ."

But a palm pilot seems like a good thing - you could be reading e-Fenn!
