It's been pointed out to me by Tina that I haven't written in my LJ for a few days (yay, she's still checking up on me :)), so, since we've been warned that we're not supposed to express political views at work I'll do a little expressing here.
Here's a link to an article about
Bush's military record on Boston.com (quick synopsis - got an honorable discharge after not being on base, breaking written agreements concerning his performance and ignoring direct orders.)
Also, something you don't see every day, former president Carter steps into the fray. Briefly, Carter accused Zell Miller of party disloyalty, and "Miller responded Tuesday by repeating his contention, made in the convention speech, that the security of his family outweighed any loyalty to the party where he has spent a lifetime." The first thing I wondered was if Republicans had his family in gunsights.
Now I know I've forgotten something interesting
eor referred me to a few days ago. I should also include the links
licking_suntan posted, but I'm in a hurry... I'm out of time.
Re work and expressing political views - I find it rather a relief, actually, because I hate hearing people debate ad infinitum at work. But what happened was, someone printed out something not nice about Cheney and put it in someone else's mailbox.
Basically I haven't had much going on. Right now I'm distracted by listening to
camwyn's phone post from Daytona, where she's handing out food to people who are trying to recover from Francis before Ivan hits. Even aside from being interested in what Camwyn is going through (which I am, very much),
eor's sister lives in Daytona. I have no idea how to text message Camwyn, because I'm a loser and haven't kept up with current technology.
No, I'm going to work, now, dont' believe my subject line.
