I know I need to sit down and make some entry every day.  If you read eor's journal you already know that one of the major news items (aside from the loss of the kitty) is that he came through his ear surgery okay.  But now has a cold, poor dear.  I do hope he doesn't sneeze and blow out the new eardrum. :(  *nervous*

The whole waiting for the surgery and getting him home again thing was epic, while I was in the middle of it.  I'm not sure I could make it interesting to read, but when I have time I may try to relate it. 

I did get quite a good way into "Mike," by P.G. Wodehouse, which is surprising me by being quite different from anything I've read by him before, but really compelling, despite the fact that the plot is all wrapped up with cricket, which I know absolutely zero about.  One thing I find amusing and cool is that all these boarding school boys, when they want to talk to each other, invite each other for tea.  If they're out they go to tea shops, but sometimes they go back to their rooms, where they have little burners and kettles.  It's just funny how cultural differences can surprise one.  I'd have never imagined that. 


My personal big news du jour, though, is that I've been chosen for special training, and will be sent on the government's dime to spend time in a classroom in DC.  I'm kind of psyched. :)  Among my classmates will be Donatello (DD), jaylow (RH) and Rev. Ricco (RP), as well as C. Swagger.  AM shift is sending Crockadile and possibly LD (what should I call her?  Hm.  Firecracker.  Yup, that'll do.  I'll know who I'm talking about.  She's short and has red hair - dyed, but still, she totally had the attitude for it, she takes no shit from anybody.)  I'm sure they picked one other person from AM, but I can't recall who it is.  Probably a newer person who I don't know. 

The bad news du jour is that BuddyBoy is no longer working with us.  And I know no more than that.  And I don't have his email address - So, BuddyBoy!  Write to me!  It's all hush hush, as usual.  If the suits would just come in and say "so and so will no longer be here," or "so and so will be gone for a few weeks, but will be back" it would make us all feel so much better.  We can understand they can't legally tell us why, but having people disappear is so disconcerting.
