Only because [livejournal.com profile] bravecows tagged me...

I'm odd about music, I guess.

01. Total volume of music files on my computer?

Only about 37 songs, amounting to far less than half a GB.  I don't keep songs on my computer - [livejournal.com profile] eor has the MP3 server for that.

02. The last CD I bought was?

I have no idea, because I don't buy CDs very often.  Eor does that.

03. Song playing right now:

Nothing.  I don't put on music very often.  Although I should, it might help me get moving.  *fires up the MP3 player*  Okay, now I've got "Rudie Can't Fail," by the Clash.  I made a silly mix the other day of all songs with variations of "Rudy/Rudie/Rudi/Rude" in the title.

04. Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me (in no particular order)

The songs that mean a lot to me are the ones I know how to sing because either my parents taught them to me (mostly folk-type songs like "The Little Brown Mouse" or "The Walloping Window Blind.") or songs by bands/artists who I feel some personal connection to ("Coup de Ska" or "Peace," both by Beat Soup.  I spent quite some time trying to learn all the words to "Peace," and was surprised to learn that it's really supposed to be sung by a woman, even though a guy sings it.)  I suppose I've got some attachment, too, to "Dough" by Adam Brodsky because he (Adam Brodsky) played it for me the day I learned my grandfather had died.  So, there, that covers five.
