I spilled coffee in the car, yesterday. I put lots of milk in my coffee. Even better, I had taken the floor mats out to wash them (Sunday) and it's been raining so they haven't dried, yet, so there was no floor mat to catch the coffee. I threw handfulls of paper towels on it as soon as I saw it spilling (while I was driving), and used the rest of the half-roll of paper towels to dab at it until there was no more visible, but the volume of paper towels doesn't seem to match what I expected from a 20-oz cup, so I assume there must be a lot more down inside the floorboards, and probably no way to get it out, really. I'll probably borrow my co-worker's steam cleaner and possibly run an extension cord out the window to power it, on Saturday, if I can't find any do-it-yourself steam cleaning place. Last night I bought some carpet deoderizer, which might help hold me over until I get to do more, and a type of foaming cleaner that's supposed to lift and then dry out so you can vacuum up the mess, but since it hasn't stopped raining I see no opportunity for it to dry in order to be vacuumed.
My life is just a continuing roller-coaster of excitement.
