bravecows complained about the limitations of using LJ as a storage place for fics. I subsequently took a quick look at
the Mike/Psmith fics on my website to make sure they were all happily archived (aside from that really porny story which I wanted to re-write because I'd gotten some time-period things wrong), and imagine my dismay at not seeing "Another Book, Another Bookshop" represented there. And
it's not linked in memories, either. I know I wrote a story by that name, but I have no idea where I posted it. I know I probably have a copy, but it just goes to prove what she was saying - LJ totally sucks as a place to archive fic. I could have lost half my Gilligan/Professor slash forever if I hadn't happened to find them when I was looking for something else. Not that the rest of the world would care, I'm sure. :)

Is it all right if I link directly to your fic page, by the way?

OMG. *flutters* Honored, I'm sure. (*feels all nervous about how ugly her page is and how pathetic her fics*)

(As it happens I found that one, by guessing I might have posted it in IndeedSir and just luckily finding the IndeedSir memories LJ - which, if you ask me, is adding another layer of confusion to an already confusing situation. Someone made another livejournal JUST to make a memories page for IndeedSir. But if you don't happen to know that THAT LJ exists you're screwed.
And then, after I did all that, I poked through my files of website stuff, and found that I'd already prepared a file with that fic in it, just hadn't uploaded it and made the link on my page.)
