I heard that one can live on eggs alone. I wonder if that's really true? If it is, I really don't need to buy any other groceries besides egg nog, right?
Egg nog is food and drink in one thing, made with cream and eggs and nutmeg and some other stuff. (I always buy it from the store because I don't trust myself to make it and not have salmonella in the eggs.) It's like a milkshake with no ice-cream. And you usually put a shot of rum in it, or brandy - it's often made so thick that it's nearly impossible to stand without the alcohol. You can only get it around Christmas time, because it's so fattening nobody wants it the rest of the year. But, when I'm drinking egg nog I might not eat, so I think it kind of trades off. :)
You know they don't for the most part have eggnog in grocery stores in the UK (though strangely they do sell a lip balm called EggSnog at LUSH which is lovely)? So I have been reduced to buying a bottle of some Dutch alcoholic concoction that is similar called Avocaat and putting it in the blender with milk and a little nutmeg.
