I've been good about doing my stretches every morning and night since I first saw the physical therapist (which was... what? Wednesday of last week? yeah), and pretty good about doing 2 or 3 exercises along with that. I choose some at random off the three sheets my doctor gave me. And then I usually do some stretching of my own devising as well - whatever feels good; hamstrings, back twisting (although I'm not sure if that's good for me, but both my doctor and my physical therapist said as long as things don't hurt they're okay to do).
Today's random exercises were:
That one where you lie on your side, prop your upper body up on your elbow, and then lift your body straight - I did that six times on each side.
Back leg lifts (with the pillow under my hips) - 12 of those.
Also, hamstrings, folding the off leg backward at 90 degrees.
Last night I did oblique crunches (probably only like six, because those are hard), and side leg lifts. For a while I was going with both exercises either being for my upper body or my lower body, but Eor suggested choosing one for each. Probably get a more even workout that way.
Tomorrow and Thursday are my appointments this week. While I'm having the appointments I can keep it up with the "just until the next appointment" argument. I don't know what will happen after the appointments are through. I know me - I'm lazy. Why, yes, I did score rather highly on sloth in the seven deadly sins meme.
