Okay, so Peter, Susan and Lucy all got presents from Santa.  Did Edmund not get a present at all because he'd been bad?  Or did he eventually get something?

I don't believe Edmund got anything from Father Christmas, as he wasn't there when the others ran into him. But my copy of the book is packed at the moment.

PS - is it disturbing and wrong to think the Mr Tummus in the current film version is hot?

I never realized it before, but Edmund doesn't get anything from Father Christmas. Eventually he gets some battle stuff, but he misses out on his Christmas present.

I think he's real cute, too!

But a little too friendly/creepy with Lucy.

yeah I see what you mean. Maybe it's thinking of him as a very masculine fawn and not Lucy's rather androgynous friend (as I did when I'd read the books) makes us interpret him as slightly too friendly/creepy.

I don't remember him getting anything from Father Christmas myself, but I think he got a sword from someone. It's been a long time since I read the book though.

Yeah. I just watched the movie, Monday, and I was wondering if it concurred with the book in that.

He didn't get a present, but at least he didn't get clawed in the back by a lion for doing something much less evil in the scheme of things than betraying your family. Heh. Sorry, I just can't stand the Horse and his Boy...

Weren't the claw marks some kind of symbolic thing? Or am I misremembering? It was so long ago that I read that. Like, um... easily over 20 years.

I think the creepy worked okay, though, because he WAS planning to kidnap her, at first.
