I'm on chapter seven of this story and I haven't decided what one of the main characters should look like. I started to write that his face was white as his shirt (because he's been functioning, injured, for like, hours, now) and then I thought, "Wait... should it be?" What do you guys think?

ETA: A group of rich investors started the colony and the way I see it they could be anyone - Victorian England's transgressions against other groups was hundreds, perhaps thousands, of years ago. The workers they scooped up with empty promises of a better life on a fertile and empty planet are probably just anyone who was desperate enough to take their chances.

Yeah. England is the most cosmopolitan place I've ever been. I think if people were signing up for a society like that considerable numbers of them wouldn't be white. And even some of the really racist political groups in England abmit third or fourth generation non-white people now. Unless you wanted them to specify that there were only white people allowed in the first place. That's another kettle fish.
