My Birthday Weekend Sunday is up.  In summary: Leather cups!  Scotch eggs!  Cool! 

Hey, eor, cyberquail - I know the pics are floating around, somewhere?  I do want to show off the headgear I ended up with. ;) 

Today's been kind of boring - just getting things done that have been ignored for the last two weeks.  Groceries, recycling, etc.  Then a light repast of cheese, corn chips and Dr. Who! :)  One of the Christopher Ecclestons which daegaer sent us: "Boomtown."  Very character-centric - I liked it a lot.

Other than that the only thing to report is that my back hurts from sitting here writing up faux-old entries.  Must go do something else.  Hm.  Pseudo Victorian Boys, perhaps.  Or, no - I just found out today that I had mail in my yahoo account that I hadn't collected since we left for the weekend, and there's a chapter of a story waiting there for me to beta-read.  I should really get to that.

Wow, details! I'm so glad you wrote that all out, because you remember far more than I ever could (and your prose is so much more elegant than mine!)

Photos of you in your medieval headpiece abound, but they are still in my camera, which is down in my car, waiting for my trip east in the morning. When I get there, please remind me, and we can load all the photos you want into your computer!

Very excited here! I really should get to bed, but of course, have to check the mail and such. I was just putting your phone number into my cell, and accidentally hit "send". Meaning, if your phone just rang once at about 11:00 p.m., that was me being careless. I hit "end" fast, so I wouldn't wake you fully if you were sleeping, just make enough noise to annoy you a little...

It is to laugh - I have the worst memory in the world, and that's why I have to write everything down in as much detail as possible. In another year I won't be able to remember that the trip happened at all if I don't write it down. That's why I try to avoid making cryptic posts - they'll be cryptic to me, too, in a month.

Again, ha! :) I've read your tale of the microdot crash (http://forum.miata.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t=037191;p=). :) I nearly cried! And I'm not a car person!

I'm not sure why I'm responding, since I'll be able to tell you all this in person tonight, but maybe I'll forget. Hope you got some sleep and are safe on the trip. I'll be here fretting all day, hoping you and microdot are safe. ;)
