I tried to be good, yesterday, and get to the gym early even though I don't have a car right now.  I got Eor to give me a ride down on his way to work, so I was there probably around 6:45am.  I did 15 minutes on the elliptical, wandered slowly around to the various machines trying to figure out exactly what the trainer wrote down for me weeks ago.  And I think on the very first thing I let myself move wrong - let my right shoulder hunch up, as it wants to do since the injury - and pulled something the wrong way in my upper arm.  It hurt all day, whenever I would reach forward, and by the end of the day was really getting to me.

And then when I was done at the gym I walked home, and it rained on me.  Actually that didn't really bother me, I managed not to get my feet wet and I did have my umbrella and raincoat, but it just seemed fitting.

Anyway, odd fact for the day - I've been wanting to post this for like a week and it never fits with what I'm writing about, so I'm just going to randomly drop it here - my current trainee, Tip, used to be a monk.  For twenty years.  Not knowing this, Stovey asked if I thought he was going to quit (because the other three guys who came in at the same time have all quit).  I said no, I think he has longevity.  Yesterday, though, he was telling Stovey about being a monk and how it's kind of like being in the military: they try to break down your ego so that you'll follow orders unquestioningly.  And they worked particularly hard on breaking him because he was "too happy."  He finds everything amusing.  He laughed particularly long and hard when he told us, "I WON!" - because he's still a laugher. :)
