But it's the same for everyone in my family - at least I'm not alone.  This morning I logged into Trillian figuring I'd clean out a bunch of come-ons by French and Arabic guys, and immediately my cousin, Jepdog, messaged me.  Cool, as she was the one I was most hoping to talk to. :)  She was talking to someone else who was taking up all her attention, and she seemed to think I should know who this person was.  In fact, that this person had done something to me which she didn't expect I would ever forgive her for.  I was very confused, and finally asked her to please tell me who this person was because I just couldn't remember.  Turns out of course my cousin had mistaken me for someone else she normally talks to online - she hasn't talked to me very much online, and my nick looks similar.  It was classic of my family, through and through.  Generally when one of us is really sure of ourselves, that's when we'll be most wrong. :)  Berwicker, Jepdog's sister, deals with it by writing everything down immediately.  At work she keeps a meticulous database of all things, which apparently fools her boss into thinking that she's organized. :)

The good news is that TSA has issued an official memory bracelet.  It's supposed to help us remember 9/11, of course (like, who's going to forget that?  Okay, I might, given enough time), but I'm just hoping that if I wear it to work I'll remember to offer up to any taker the monitor which has been riding in the back of my car for three weeks.  (BTW, anyone within a reasonable car's drive of me who needs a nineteen inch monitor with a slightly dark picture needs only say 'so' and it'll be on your doorstep.)

The bracelet has also helped me remember, today, that Gramma Goose asked for an email address for one of our ex-coworkers, Grampa Coasty.  I'd better go find that.  ...(searching)  ...(searching) ... Well, damme.  I thought I had his address in my address book, but I didn't.  Luckily enough I don't clean out my email but once in a blue moon, so I still had one in there from him which he sent in March.

And now, for fun, a parody song from Screeners Central

Smells Like Explosives

(Sung to the tune of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana)

Load the L-3 and break your back
It’s fun to scan those heavy bags
Contains det cord it cannot fly
I know I know no S-S-I

Oh no (x 16)

(Chorus)
Manual bag search –es are dangerous
Stick your hands in dark containers
Management is so outrageous
Terminate all the complainers
Nepotism, cronyism
Model workplace, pick up the pace
Yeah

I’m no worse than all the rest
My manager is such a pest
Verbal warnings for everything
I got one for wearing a ring

(Oh no (x 16) and Repeat Chorus)

I hurt my back lifting at work
HR lost my paperwork
My medical doesn't exist
Now I'm on the admin shit list

(Oh no (x 16) and Repeat Chorus)

Oh!  I thought I was done and going to post this, but then I saw this...

Ex-Cop Fired for Selling Self-Made Porn Videos Now a TSA Manager at San Diego  (I hope you all can get to this article, it might be restricted to logged in members.)

I'm pretty damn sure this was one of the guys who trained me! o.o  I've written to Slinky to see if she agrees, but I'm pretty sure.  He made gay porn videos!! 0.0  Y'know, he had an ego like all outdoors, but...  ...I want to see them.  This was the same guy who I might have mentioned told us the story about Spanish dialects being quite different from place to place.  His family was from Cuba, and one day he responded to a breaking and entering call with his Dad in the car.  The family who's house had been broken into were Mexican, and his father, trying to make them feel better, began to speak with them in Spanish, and tried to tell them that his son would catch this thief.  Unfortunately the word he used for 'catch' is fine in Cuban Spanish, but in Mexican Spanish it means 'fuck up the ass.'  *chortles*  Oh my... that story would have been even funnier at the time if he'd told us he also made gay pr0n as a hobby. ;)

On the other hand, what if someone tracks down or reports that I write gay pr0n?  Will I lose my job or be vilified?  Now I'm getting nervous.  Should I make all my postings friends-only?
