eor - although he didn't post it first, but he just started spewing this stuff and I felt I needed to post it. ;)
1) What memes have you liked, lately?
2) Which have you not liked?
3) Have you ever done a meme and regretted it the next day?
4) Admit it - have you ever done a meme just because it's quick and easy?
5) Does having too many memes make a LiveJournal somehow cheaper?
6) In memes, do you prefer to watch or be watched?
7) Tell me about your fantasy meme.
1) What memes have you liked, lately?
Maybe I haven't really done as many, lately, as I thought I had. I enjoyed doing the song meme because it challenged my memory - always a good thing.
I think the concept of
bravecows "unpopular opinions" meme is an interesting one, and I'm curious to see the results, but I suspect it wouldn't work at all for me because nobody would ask for my opinions. Not to mention that I have no idea which of my opinions would be unpopular. The "Combat Cards" thing
fozzie33 did was interesting to see. I liked reading
bravecows "Confessions," but wasn't at all sure what to write for myself. Um. It's all on my profile. I'm working my way through the over a hundred responses to the 'in character as your icon' meme. I wanted to use the icon of Mike and Psmith and talk to her as Mike but... I didn't dare. I thought I wouldn't be any good.
2) Which have you hated?
I had a hard time with the Thankfulness meme because I was feeling so down that day. And the last one I did (name ten things you like beginning with a random letter given to you by someone) was just plain difficult.
3) Have you ever done a meme and regretted it the next day?
Well... I have actually regretted using up the time to do some of them when I could have been doing something more useful.
4) Admit it - have you ever done a meme just because it's quick and easy?
Oh, all the time. I like quickies. A quick meme saves me from having to think of some way to make my own life sound interesting. Or it gets me started writing and then I write something about real life or thoughts while I'm there.
5) Does having too many memes make a LiveJournal somehow cheaper?
Nnn..no? Well, here's the thing. I like content. So if people are avoiding content for simplistic or trivial memes, then maybe yes. However, as I said above, sometimes they get things going in your brain. And quite often they're fun. And life is all about the fun, right?
6) In memes, do you prefer to watch or be watched?
Considering what I just said above, I suppose I like to watch. I certainly have read with interest more memes than I've tried to do. And I've done far more of the odd quiz memes than I've posted.
7) Tell me about your fantasy meme.
It would be the one that gets me thinking writing, whether fic or just general essaying about life, etc.
