Doorways In The Sand, Roger Zelazny - hee, fun! Ray Bradbury type writing with a story that could very easily have been the inspiration for Men In Black. I began to feel very convinced of this at the point where the government agent who looks like a mortician in dark glasses comes in with a 'seeing eye dog' who turns out to be an alien.
And Bartleby the Scrivener, by Herman Melville - I don't think this gets to be treated as a whole book at only 74 pages even on my tiny e-book. Weird little story. I'm amazed at how many words Melville could come up with - wish I could do that.
