I am so damned caught up in "The Big Over Easy."  I was waiting with bated breath (or possibly 'baited breath' as I haven't brushed my teeth, yet) for Mary Mary to live up to her reputation of being quite contrary, and it took until page 201.  When that was settled I was finally able to put it down.  Needless to say, I don't think I'll be writing any letters, today.  I need to write letters to my Dad and Teena, at the very least, and my brothers, too, and then I'm sure there's a few of you who I owe letters to as well.  I so suck at letters.  [livejournal.com profile] bravecows has told me that I don't, but I feel that I do.

Meanwhile.  [livejournal.com profile] eor cleaned the pots and pans last night and they're all so shiny I feel as though cooking on them would be a crime.

(One of my co-workers was searching a bag the other day - and this is why I like working in checked baggage; there aren't passengers around to observe you being foolish - she pulled out a Disney book with slick (shiny) pages and went, "Look, I have a shiny book!  Do you want me to read to you from my shiny book!?"  And she actually wrote on resolution paperwork "shiny book," so I followed suit later and wrote "shiny magazines" on my own. :))
