I should say, keeping a notebook of some sort in my back pocket has been a habit with me at work since fairly early on. In the very beginning I didn't and I regretted it, because constantly people - other screeners, leads, supervisors - would stop you at work and ask, "What ARE you doing??" "This is the way I was taught to do this." "Who told you that? When?" and if you didn't have a notebook and write every damned thing down you were screwed.
Now, though, my co-workers tease me. "What are you writing about me? Are you reporting me?" or "Am I going to be in your book?"
