Y'know how I said I had this that and the other thing to do, and to eat breakfast? Well, I didn't do any of that, not even eat breakfast. I wrote an email back to my brother, Eightball. He'd kind of annoyed me the other day with a supercilious lecture on how I was conning myself into feeling sick so I could feel entitled to take time off because I had proved I worked so hard by making myself sick, which... well, I hadn't told him about the bullseye-looking rash so he can be forgiven for some of it, but sure I feel entitled and kind of happy if I get to stay home and baby myself, but if I feel crappy but not bad enough to stay home I just feel annoyed. I probably took too long to say it because I was trying to be nice about it, but in fact at one point I just said, "You're the Master and I'm just a punk who has trouble with authority figures." Well, I hope it came off like I meant it to. I do love him much, he's a sweetheart.

But the upshot was that I didn't eat and now it's time to go, and of course I wasn't hungry until now, but now I'm starving. I think I'll walk to work so I can stop and get some breakfast pizza, if there is any available. Better get my butt in gear.

And the other result of having been so distracted all day (coupled with Eor leaving at an ungodly hour when all evening workers are still half asleep) - I had forgotten that today was the day I was supposed to pick up my uniform shirts at the cleaners. Can't do that walking. Oh well, guess I just have to wear the same shirt for a third day and hope that I get the car tomorrow.
