Tiring but fun day! :)
In brief:
We went to Cambridge (Mass) to meet
bravecows, and in the deal met a whole bunch of other people (and if I get anyone's name wrong or have become confused about who they are, please correct me, because I have a terrible memory for names so we spent some time after we got home trying to sort through other people's journals and figure out who was who) -
foreverdirt,
schiarire,
genarti,
shati,
bookelfe and
sandrylene - is that right? It was a little overwhelming (for us shy people) to meet so many people all at the same time, and conversation had that weird, disjointed thing going on where not everyone knows each other and you're all unsure of what your common ground is, and in fact you don't have any with some people, but they were all exceedingly pleasant people and good company, and all in all it was a good time. :)
By the time we had to leave I was really bummed that we couldn't go to dinner with them. But given how we were yawning on the way home it was a good thing we set out when we did. We arrived here at 9:15 and then had to cook something so we would have food for our lunches tomorrow. (Which is not done yet and it's past time to be asleep.)
Before meeting up with everyone else, Eor and I had a delightful lunch at an Indian restaurant (Ghandi - and the lunch buffet was only $16.50 for both of us together, which was much less than we thought it was going to be :)), wandered around Central Square and Harvard Square, and bought spices, used books and second-hand CDs. We will have to detail the haul tomorrow. :) For now, the food is done, it's time for bed - and I don't think I will have trouble sleeping tonight. I think I'm even too tired to eat, though I should possibly force a few bites of something down. Eor ate a pudding so he could take his medicine. Maybe I'll have some leftover canned green beans. Cold. I really can't care right now.
