Sunday in Cambridge books:
[livejournal.com profile] eor has posted about Sunday in Cambridge and a full listing of the books and music we bought. :) Yeah, we did go kind of nuts, considering we have NO MORE SPACE here. 8/ Even the new bookshelf we put in the closet is full and stacked up on top. Is this an illness, wanting to own everything?

Books I'm reading:
Actually, I think it was last Friday that I finished reading...

14) "The Talons of Weng-Chiang" (Terrance Dicks), the last and best of the Dr. Who novelizations which my coworker, Alice, gave me. (I should really write her and thank her again. She's stationed in Colorado at the moment, so I think she's suspended her online bookselling business.) In the words of [livejournal.com profile] arjuna_lj, "Aw, I *love* Talons. Up to and including the Hokey Giant Rat, and probably partly because of it, to tell the truth. Part of it is admittedly old-style fanboy Holmes worship, but there's a lot to be said for it just as a Good Romp, too. Leela, throwaway lines about the Doctor's life elsewhere (Battle of Reykjavik, etc), Jago; Litefoot, river filming, Leela, period story, "Bent-Face", Mr Sin, Leela... :)" If there were photos of Leela in action the book would be almost perfect. ;) I love that Jago comes through like a trooper in the end, and doesn't get killed off, which would have been all too easy with how pompous and foolish he's painted earlier on, and he and Litefoot seem destined to hang around a bit together, possibly even become good friends. Something should be written about Litefoot and Jago. They have adventures and then write and produce plays about them. Something should always be happening in Jago's slightly rough neighborhood and the passionate interactions of theatre people, and then Litefoot is the police pathologist, so he knows all about it when people are killed.

I left a post over on Indeedsir regarding my current reading, "The Indiscretions of Archie."

Meme:
Now, I had to take some time to think about it, but perhaps I'm interested in doing this one after all, if anyone still wants to play after all this time. I think the last person I saw do this one was [livejournal.com profile] bravecows on the 11th.

Everyone has things they blog about. Everyone has things they don't blog about. Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on yaoi, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc. Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other.

Initially I thought "But if I don't blog about something it's because I don't want to, right?" But then it occurred to me that maybe there are whole areas of my life that I don't even notice that I am excluding. And if it's a touchy subject I can always set my response so that only the asker can see my answers. Also, my journal is always set so that you can post anonymously.

Mostly though I just don't post a lot, lately, because I often don't have time to sit down and recall what I wanted to talk about. I wish I could be off light duty at work so I'd have the opportunity to think and write down thoughts. It's much more intensive work when you're on light duty. :P
