1) The last couple of times Eor and I went to Shere Punjab (the Indian restaurant in Brunswick which littleredhead and groundctrl introduced us who) we've heard this cover of "Pretty Woman" which is really good. Eor points out that they do quite different things with the different parts of the song, making it more complex. Well, today he decided to track down where it comes from so he can get a copy, which let to us checking out this video on YouTube. Apparently it's from a movie, "Kal Ho Na Ho" - which we really might have to see, now! Watch this video if you can. It is musically good, but also some of the stuff they did in the video made me literally laugh 'til I cried - in a good way! With them, I promise! :)

2) I have "Hogfather"!!!

Yay for Hogfather! I liked it better than Colour of Magic. David Jason is much better as Albert than Rincewind.

And gospel singers! And the Punk guy dancing on the old Indian woman! Okay, it's horribly dorky of me, I know, but her expression - this sort of OTT "I'm offended by your very existence, but hey, let's dance!" was cute. :D) It's like they tried to find every single stereotyped American they could and shove them all in there.

I liked it better than Colour of Magic.

I get the impression that old fans will forgive the faults and like these movies, but that they won't gain any raw, new fans. What do you think? (I can't wait to watch it! I can't until the weekend.:P)

Dunno really, everyone I know that's watched either one already was a fan. Be interesting to see which book they do next.
