Yay, the first Monday of vacation always feels so good. :) In my mind I was on vacation as soon as I left work on Friday night, but it's always nice to know that at the time I would be going in to work, today I don't have to.
But what I have on my to-do list will fill my day up, I think. Well, I can make anything fill a day up.
- Need to assemble a resume and cover letter for the trainer position which is opening at work (not more pay, and not different duties, just more duties)
- Deliver said cover letter and resume, and take the Hogfather movie to my coworker who wants to see it (MeeMaw).
- Finish balancing all checkbooks (why do I have three??) and pay credit card bill.
- Clean up after our cooking binge of last night. (We made The Awesome Curry, which is supposed to be a vindeloo but we haven't got the recipe quite right for vindelooness as yet.)
- Take things to the Post Office (many books Eor bought for his baby niece, even though she won't be able to read them for years. :) Also, a flashcard full of pics for his Mom and my hair for Locks of Love.)
- Pick up Eor at 4pm in Falmouth at the dealership where he's dropping the van off to have... something done. Damn, I can't recall what. Put on some replacement part in the suspension system which he doesn't have the tools for, I think?
It's another heavily overcast day, though not actively raining at the moment. This was why Eor didn't take my picture all day, yesterday - he was hoping that it would get a little lighter out, because as you can see the flash is not flattering to my skin. I don't think I actually look quite that spotty in real life. (Every time I look at the back of my head in this one I think of my brother Eightball. :) He's much thicker in the neck, especially now, but when he was in high school he put on a ratty long, black wig and fake glasses and looked startlingly like me.)
