I've been home for like four days, now, and haven't seemed to have time, brain or whateverness to make a post. Sorry about that. Also, Monday I was trying to get a new fan for my motherboard, which didn't happen. One is on order, now, and I'll just have to cross my fingers and hope that the one which is in there doesn't give up the ghost before that arrives.

I don't even know where to start. Well, why not start with one of the things that I've been nervous about - Today was my second consult with the surgeon who's going to do my breast reduction, and let me tell you, a quicker, more non-eventful consult I have never had. Why on earth don't they let us do this through email? Is it just another way to get a $30 fee? Or possibly it was non-eventful because I just needed time to think about things. We arrived at the truth of the matter pretty quickly, which was that when he said 'C-cups' he was making a round estimate of what he thought I was going to end up with, but that when he's actually doing surgery he's too concerned with things like getting them both roughly similar and making sure there's still blood flow to everywhere, etc. I gave him the bare bones reasoning on my mind - I want to have them small enough that I'll be psychologically willing to stand up straight - and finished up with "Just so long as you know that I'm not worried about going to small, there's always padded bras if I don't feel as though my clothes fit right." Looking back on it, I'm pretty sure he said something similar last time I talked with him, it might just be that I needed time to think a little more about what a huge change in my breast size is going to mean. I'm sure I'll be happy no matter what I end up with, now. Well, you know, so long as he does a decent job and they're not hideously deformed or I get a horrible infection.

As with just about everything I fret about, now I wonder why I was laying awake, nights. But we'll see how the actual surgery goes. And when. I thought I'd get a chance to schedule that, while I was there, but the scheduling person wasn't available. She'll phone me. :P

Anyway, the long ago promised pic of Eor and I at the Faire...

Also, I should say lots about the LA trip, but for the moment here's a not particularly good pic (snapped quick by my brother with his phone) - we spotted

And now I must be off to work. :P
