Someone who locked their post pointed out RescueTime, which looks like an interesting way to attempt to make myself more productive. When I went to install their application, however, I was confused by the way they call it a Windows app and use the little flag logo but when it's getting ready to run the installer mentions that it's not signed by a known source. I don't like installing applications from sources I don't know. Who has used this, liked it, and can vouch for it not gobbling my computer's resources or reporting back to Microsoft on everything I do? And anyhow, will it help me if I always leave my email and LiveJournal logged in while my computer is on?

Completely unrelatedly, [livejournal.com profile] innocentsmith pointed out Fanlore, which I haven't perused as yet, but have added to my favorites under 'writing.'
