What a weird day. We slept late, had a quick breakfast of leftover tacos, drove 2 hrs and 20 min into Massachusetts and spent 2 hours with people we don't know - who were extremely friendly - listening to some speakers Eor is thinking about buying... and their daily use stereo system, and their homey stories and opinions, etc. :) And drove back. By the time we got back I was famished, so we went to Norm's and I vacuumed up a cup of beef stew, a huge bowl of garlic mashed potatoes, four chicken wings and half a hot fudge sundae, without flinching. :D So then I called my brother, Hawk, (because he'd left two messages on our answering machine while we were gone) and talked his ear off with this sugar jag for an hour, and then we sat down and watched two eps of House, Season Three. Which didn't quite have Season Two's ... something.

And now it's time for bed.

Tomorrow's plans: Do laundry early, bring Looks To Alaska up from Old Orchard Beach and see if I can get her to eat Indian food with us. She'll be going back to Alaska in like ten days, so we do have to get together when we can.

I was telling Hawk that my day tomorrow does not have any clear food plans for the morning, and he totally knows what I mean when I say that's dangerous - he sometimes wanders around the kitchen jamming any random edibles in his mouth when his blood sugar gets low. Usually he's under weight, though, and only recently has his weight started creeping up with the stresses of school and the band.

I should actually get to bed soon if I think I'm getting up 'early.' Hm. Possibly I'll live on rice bars for the first half of the day, tomorrow. I'm actually quite tired, and it's hot as Hades in here.

Eor is looking at ads for houses, and he's getting interested in this one because, although it's an ugly expanded mobile home monstrosity "it has a very sexy garage." :) It's also between a couple of ponds and above Sebago Lake. There's a few things we look for in a house - a garage, some trees and a little land would be nice, and access to water which is not the ocean would be a dream. I'd prefer to have a house that's not ugly and new.
