I've been trying to not stress about the upcoming midwinter holiday to the extent that I've pushed it entirely aside the past few days. Dealing with snow and then more snow and the class made it easy. But now I'm looking at the calender and realizing I've got to get my ass in gear.

My immediate problem, though, is being cold and hungry, which kind of takes precidence in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.

And to think one of my Psych professors in 1994 told me "no one references Maslow anymore, why did you include that in your paper?". Ha! Shows you, Doctor Hogan!

Hee! :D Maybe Maslow is just taken for granted these days. It's true that I went ahead and ignored being cold and hungry for a while longer and emptied the dishwasher, but things like that can only be ignored for so long. Eor thinks possibly people have forgotten Maslow because times have been good, but they'll remember now that we're in an economic downturn. "Guess what? If you don't have food and shelter, your Playstation ain't worth shit!"
