For the past several days I've been reading phylometha's Aral Vorkosigan's Dog on my Nook - quite good. It's gen (which I usually don't find all that interesting, but maybe my tastes are shifting?) and very much in the tone of the original stories (Lois McMaster Bujold's 'Vorkosigan' series).

Last night, though, just as the power died on my Nook, I saw the words "portable cone of silence" and went "Whaaat?" I can't remember if Bujold uses that term in her books or not. Somebody's a Get Smart fan. :)
