I seem to be really tired, lately, and constantly like I'm on the verge of getting sick. Not sure if this is because I'm being a lot more sedentary at work or because of the short daylight hours or being cold all the time (my feet are like ice!).
I was really busy and productive at work, today, and am feeling rather happy with myself about that. :) Got almost everything on my list done. I wish I could be just a tiny bit more productive at home, as Eor just gave me back Chapter Nine of "Swept Away" (bet you thought that story was long dead!). And if I don't polish my shoes tonight I don't think I should do it tomorrow as riding the bike should be on my list, instead.
I saw my Aunt BJ today. :) She's on her way to California with her husband (unfortunately it's to try to convince his sister to give up her driver's license and move to a nursing home, not a fun trip) so I got to visit a little bit while they were waiting for their flight. One of my coworkers (Moose) had found me and told me my Aunt was here - apparently he was the only one present when she asked for me who recognized the name she calls me by. Everyone else was baffled, "No one by that name here." He described her as "short," which confused me, and I wasn't sure who he could mean, but Jigsaw, who checked her boarding pass, knew her last name was the same as mine, so that narrowed it down, and I went ahead and paged "Passenger M----". ;) I never think of BJ as short. (Although nobody in my family is particularly tall, except for Hawk, who everyone else marvels over - "where did he get that height?!") I don't know if it's childhood memory or if her personality has always made me think she was taller (because she's rather domineering), or if she's shrinking, but when I saw her I realized he's right, she's even shorter than me! She thought Jigsaw was quite cute, possibly because he has a big smile and was very friendly and reassuring to her, even before he knew she was a relative of mine. :)
Hawk is away this evening because he got subpoenaed to court in a town nearly an hour away, beyond the school he goes to - he turned in a drunk driver a few months ago - so he's staying with a classmate who lives in the area. So we'll see if I sleep through the night. He often wakes up at around 3AM, and it seems that the instant he does, I do, too.
