A lovely rainy day. I slept in, for about 10 hours, made us breakfast, and have done nothing but drink tea and read since then.

The only down side, thus far, is that the buyers for our condo have backed out of the contract. They cite issues with the inspection, but it looks from the questions they've been asking of our management company as though they actually did not have financing. So, we are no longer under contract.

Regarding my reading for the day - I'm alternating back and forth between "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Coffee Bandits of Greater Manhattan." I'm sure the latter is of far lesser quality, but it's being fun thus far. ;) I only just realized that I'm on Chapter Two of Nine, so I might download it onto my Nook. That's the great thing about AO3 - if I like something I can save it for reading elsewhere, and not sit at my computer all the time.

Oh... my word. I anticipate there are going to be some really prime old books available for $3. Her glassed-in shelves were my envy and inspiration. (This was the school I spent several very formative years at, when Glenna was still stomping around smoking a pipe.) And right now I feel like I can't even expose myself to the temptation of buying more books. :(

If I have said anything bad about our selling agent I rescind it right now. We just found out (from our buying agent) that his partner passed away in the past few weeks. He might not have been quite on top of his game. :(

Aaand, I STILL haven't downloaded "Coffee Bandits of Manhattan" onto my Nook. Nor updated the playlist on my MP3 player. I have been singing the same songs for weeks. Well, I'm trying to learn them, but I should weed out the few that I just can't seem to sing along with. I can't sing along with "Soy" by the Gypsy Kings because I don't speak Spanish. (It's Spanish, right? Or is it Portuguese?)
