Eor mentioned to me the new fingerprint ID thing that Apple came out with has already been hacked, by the simple method that anyone who likes spy movies would have come up with - take the person's fingerprint off a glass they were using.
"Easy to do if you just hang out in a pub they like to drink it and grab their glass," he opined.
"And people wouldn't really be looking out for that unless you live in a spy movie," I observed. "But I've often thought maybe we all do live in a spy movie, we're just such minor characters that we never see the spy."
"We don't even have a walk-on, just bit parts," he said, which got me singing this song...

But then I said, "You know who I always thought would be the main character in a spy movie? Tree. But he's got kids, now."
"He couldn't," said Eor, "He's a liberal." (In fact he's a lawyer who worked for the Environmental Protection Agency and left because he couldn't stand how owned it is by big business.) "He couldn't go crashing cars and blowing things up, it would damage the environment."
"That could be his angst. Good spy has got to have angst."
"Can't you just picture it, though? He's leaping fences and dashing through back yards - he's got to save the world and get back in time to get his daughter to soccer practice."
"I wish I knew how to do vids! I'd make a trailer!"
"You could set it to "Rotating Heads."

ETA: I know that in the original conversation I also said something in there about the bad guys having to be Monsanto, and Eor said, "That's why this movie hasn't already been made!"
